Gifts

What is the best gift you ever received?

Better still what is the best gift you ever gave?

Perhaps you will recall that in each instance,

the best gift was one that was tied

with the heartstrings of the giver,

one that included a part of self.
Wanda Fulton

I find it amazing that the more we give of things which are true to ourselves the more we have to give, the more we understand if we allow ourselves the freedom to follow our hearts.

Yesterday evening a most beautiful arrangement of roses was given to My mum, Sister and Myself from a friend who is a very talented florist.  The roses are exquisite!!  They come from Argentina and in all of my life I have never seen such roses.  It wasn't a special occasion or given for any particular reason, just given because she cares.

It was such a delight,

A surprise,

Truly beautiful,

Given with the heartstrings of our beautiful friend.

May your weekend be filled with many heart filled Blessings wherever you may wander....

those roses are just gorgeous, lucky you three! I must say, 'just because' surprise gifts are the greatest:) my favourite gift ever was when my partner surprised me with a beautiful sewing machine for my birthday one year. Yes i made the dolls (with the sewing machine i just mentioned!:)

I realised i didnt write back to your last comment (I do believe a little one woke up just as id read it)
I have done little bits and pieces of toy making for the kids since I started doing day care and also helped my dad make toys for me when I was little but thats about it. Im having fun learning and slowly getting less scared of noisy power tool lol:)
Yes my chooks realy do seem to love it! I guess I started having a go at wood working around the time as i got them as chicks so they are just used to it!

Some of the best gifts are the "for no particular reason" gifts. There's just something wonderful in being reminded that someone's thinking about you.

Dear blogger friend, Thank you so much for your sweet words on my blog, I really appreciated them. Your blog is full of beauty and sweetness, I love the way you show us those little everyday special things. Your cute daughter is a great chef and a little artist!!

The best present for me would be being able to share those cherished moments with my loved ones.

Hello. I found your blog from following the Magic Onions. Your blog is so beautiful and I love the roses and sentiment. I have been a fan of Elsa Beskow since I was a little girl and have posted about her on my blog. I look forward to following you.

Gifts from the bottom of a heart. These roses are truly marvellous. Like I received today too. You thinking of me during this week truly makes me feel cared for and appreciated. Even more though as we do not know one another that well yet. Thanks from this side of the pond. Hugs

What a delightful gift 'just because' . I gave special gifta to my younger daughter on Wednesday - she was 21. I decided sometime ago that any gift I gave would be handmade - either by me, or bought from the craftworker. We gave her a beautiful needle felted angel with long red hair, like hers, and a gorgeous glass and crystal pendant heart. it was very special for us all.
Thank you for dropping by. xx
Thank you
