The Splendour of a Rose

The splendour of the rose

And

The whiteness of the lily

Do not rob the little violet of it's scent

Nor the daisy of its simple charm.

If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose,

Spring would lose its loveliness.

Therese of Lisieux

Enjoy the beauty found in every flower today my sweet friends,
The little drops of jewels that glimmer in the morning sun
The perfume of each individual blossom
and
The treasure uncovered in each person.

oh I love that! so true isnt it? And sometimes the most unexpected flower has a most amazing perfume. Those mauve roses have been a favourite of mine since I was little, I think they are called midnight blue or something like that ?

I use to have a purple rose (it had no scent) but it was a sensitive rose and didn't live very long. I love roses and love walking through my garden admiring the blooms.

I brought one rose bud into my home on saturday but little kitten Ruby decided to cover the kitchen mat with pretty petals!

Those words are so true. The real beauty is in the assortment, just like with people.
And the rose in that photo is gorgeous.
